Arlen Music Sends Two Bands to Las Vegas to Celebrate the New Year!

On New Years Eve 2011, Arlen Music was honored to have not one, but TWO bands perform in the "Entertainment Capital of the World!" Joined by guest artist Sheena Easton ("Morning Train," "For Your Eyes Only,") Ken Arlen 21 enjoyed its sixth consecutive invitation to perform at the prestigious Bellagio Hotel and Casino. In addition, a special ensemble of our finest talent from Entourage and Indigo brought in 2011 at Mandalay Bay. Both shows were a musical and visual feast, and the dance floor was packed as the New Year rolled in!

"It's a Bird. It's a Plane. It's the Ken Arlen Orchestra!"

For the second consecutive year, the Ken Arlen Orchestra was privileged to be the featured entertainment at the Children's Ball, an event sponsored by the Medical Research Institute Council (MRIC) of Children's Memorial Hospital. This elegant event, named "The Second City's First Party," by Town and Country Magazine, raises critical funds for pediatric medical research at the Children's Memorial Research Center. The theme of this year's event was "Superheroes: Going Above and Beyond," and Arlen Music proudly supports the heroes who dedicate their lives to providing first-rate care to children in need.

"Behind the Music": Getting to Know Director of Client Services,
Pam Austin

Arlen Music provides entertainment for approximately 300 events every year, and we couldn’t do it without the hard work and dedication of our office staff. Pam Austin, Director of Client Services, wears many hats at our office in Evanston. From being our first point of contact when we receive inquiries to ensuring that our musicians and sound engineers are aware of every detail before an event, Pam really does it all!

A true veteran of the entertainment industry, Pam brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Arlen Music. Before joining our company eight years ago, Pam worked for Princess Cruises Corporate. She began her tenure for the high-end cruise line as an Entertainment Manager, where she recruited singers, dancers, and musicians for the wide variety of entertainment options offered on cruise ships. Her experience with coordinating these behind-the-scenes logistics prepared her for handling all the details involved with the hundreds of weddings, fundraisers, and other events that the bands of Arlen Music perform for each year.

In addition to Pam’s experience in arts administration, she is also an excellent musician. After her stint as an Entertainment Manager, Pam spent seven years travelling around the world as a featured entertainer for Princess Cruises. Furthermore, Pam has worked in every aspect of the music industry throughout her career. She recorded vocal demos for music publisher Hal Leonard, performed and arranged music for the Grammy-nominated vocal group L.A. Jazz, and directed many productions of musical theater.

What makes Pam truly special, though, is that she loves working with people. A self-confessed “people-person,” Pam spends every day building relationships with brides, grooms, parents, hotel staff, wedding planners, musicians…the list goes on and on! Every person who calls our office or walks through our doors gets to experience Pam’s vibrant and outgoing personality and her desire to get to know you. No matter what your mood, Pam’s warm and inviting presence can brighten up your day and make you excited about the event you’re planning. She hopes to hear from you soon!
