Thank you for playing almost every song that we requested that was not on the current rotation, for Karla learning the mother/son dance song, and for nailing our musical taste. Our guests still cannot stop raving about your musical diversity and the band's energy and presence. So many of our guests said the band often sounded better then the real artist of the song, and for our older guests, not one complained about the band's volume, which is a huge feat for our families!!! You had everyone on the dance floor from start to finish!!!!!
We have to say we knew that you were going to be good but you blew our expectations out of the water!! We are so thankful that in the 11th hour we hired a videographer to capture the wedding, because we would have regretted not being able to see you perform. You had family members on the dance floor that we had never seen dance. Front of House was the best decision we ever made, you MADE our wedding!!!!!!!"

"There is no way that my family and I can thank you for exceeding every single one of the expectations we had! From the moment Reva Nathan put me in contact with you, you were beyond accomodating. From our first meeting in Evanston to our second meeting at my apartment to discuss my grandfather’s music, to the days leading up to the wedding you were incredible! I was able to listen to the music, see footage in your offices and then meet with you to plan the playing of my grandfather’s music, so I really felt as though I knew what I was going to be getting and it turned out I truly had no idea what you were capable of! Your musicians are not only amazingly talented, but wonderfully gracious and beautifully staged. And the introductions you made for the songs you did of my grandfather’s were so moving and I will never forget what it was like to listen to you.
Walking down the stairs at The Peninsula Chicago transported people immediately to another place with the beautiful sound of the three violins. People could not stop talking about how spectacular their song selection was! Then, heading into Shanghai Terrace, people could hear the wonderful piano player who was so poised and talented. And when they moved into the ballroom, forget about it, they were just floored! The energy that you were able to create was something I cannot even explain. The guests felt like they were being whisked off to the party of all parties and LOVED every moment of dancing. As the night went on and we had the magical moments of our first dance and then my dance with my father and the cutting of the cake and toasts, you were perfection. The way you transitioned from one part of the night to the next was so natural!
The concert during dinner made it virtually impossible for me to eat because I could hardly pick my jaw up off the floor. From opera to violins to the songs of my grandfather’s, people could not believe their ears! And even though the talent and the variety was so incredible, the volume and song choice was so appropriate for dinner so that people could continue eating and that made me so happy!
The night went on and on and we didn’t stop the music until we absolutely had to. We were so sad to see the music stop and everyone go because the dancefloor was full into the wee hours of the morning. You are an entertainer like no other and I am forever grateful for the opportunity to have had you performing at my wedding and there is no way to thank you for all of your effort! We loved you so much that we came back to The Peninsula two months later for New Years Eve when we heard that you would be playing. All the best to you and Front of House and to everyone else who worked with you on our wedding."

"Every event has its unique elements. Seeing that all of the parts come together takes time, work and commitment. Arlen Music performed beyond my expectations. From the first contact I had with Arlen Music, the experience was professional and personal. The promotional materials sent to me were very helpful. Arlen Music assisted and coordinated the logistical aspects of hiring a sitar and tabla player for the cocktail reception, the violins, piano, flute/sax and vocalists for the ceremony and the Front of House band for the dinner reception. Most of this was done out of state! The staff at Arlen Music were very easy to work with.
I cannot say thank you enough for such a spectacular evening. Front of House band did a superlative performance and was the essential ingredient that made our wedding such a fabulous and memorable affair! David Sherman’s musical artistry not only generated tremendous energy that kept the dance floor packed all night, but it seamlessly marched through the musical genres - from the golden age of jazz, through the hair bands of the 1980s, to the hip hop experience of the early 21st century. In fact, listening to the soundtrack of our wedding, we are still perplexed by the effortless elegance of his interpretations of such a broad spectrum of music - it was divine and utterly unforgettable!
Most importantly, we would like to thank David Sherman and the band for demonstrating incredible patience and understanding for all our whims, including coordinating behind the scenes the impromptu performance of "Hava Nagila" and making it arguably one of the highlights of the night!
Even though the wedding has been over for a few months, I still receive calls, e-mails and even cards thanking me for inviting them to the wedding, and then raving about the music. I have had those who could not attend, who have seen pictures and have heard about it from those who attended, also contact me about the wedding!
